Pain And Swelling In Knee, Moved To Groin And Down To Ankle. Skin Very Hot To Touch.

I have a pain that started in my knee but has moved to my groin and down to my ankle. The skin is even hot to the touch. Any ideas?

Answer

Hi Bird,

Let me second angie's advice about seeing your doctor as soon as you can. There are many, many things that can cause this sort of pain, ranging from common to dangerous, and it's always better to have a physician check you over. The skin being hot to the touch is a sign that you should have a professional screening, because it may be sign of a blood clot, or the sign of an infection from a spider bite, or cellulitis. Good luck! And please let us know what your doctor says about your condition.
