I am 30 years old, have no children and not pregnant. I have never used any hormonal birth control. There is no pitting, skin changes or nipple discharge. No history of breast cancer although my mother was diagnosed with endometrial cancer.
Sounds like you might have a painful cyst, which can be one of the symptoms of fibrocystic change, a condition that’s quite common in women your age. If you feel a lump, then you should have it examined by your doctor. All breast changes that last longer than a month, especially lumps, need to be evaluated by a doctor -; to rule out cancer, even though cancer is probably the least likely cause of what you’re feeling. So call your doctor and make an appointment, OK? Good luck - PJH
