Pancreatitis After Gallbladder Surgery?

Is there any relation to having gallbladder and bile duct removed and then developing pancreatitis?


I'm afraid I don't know enough about this to give you a definitive answer. I do know there is a close relationship between the gallbladder, bile ducts and the pancreas. I've also come across other discussions where people are talking about developing pancreatitis shortly before or after gallbladder surgery. But whether there's a direct cause and effect relationship, I just don't know.
