Premarin Is Made From Horses Urine, What Is Estradiol Made From?

Answer

When compounded individually, the basic ingredient is extracted from either soy or yam. It is then made into a molecule (estradiol) that is biochemically identical to the estradiol that your body has been producing.

Estradiol that is made commercially by a pharmaceutical company is made of chemicals...again into a molecule that exactly replicates our own. As a doctor I respect once said, "I don't care if they start with concrete..as long as they end up with a molecule that is estradiol. That's the point!"

I hope this is the info you were looking for.
