Prostate Cyst Causing Prostatitis?

I have been diagnosed with a prostatic cyst, what's the best option for treatment?

Answer

Most cysts of the prostate are not associated with any symptoms and they are incidentally found at the time of transrectal sonography. If you are having recurring symptoms of prostatitis, and if the cyst is fairly large, aspiration of the cyst via a transrectal sonographic approach could be easily accomplished. After aspiration, if your symptoms were to diminish or disappear than the cyst could be considered causative.
