Random Chest Pains With Shortness Of Breath?
I'm 22 years old and I've been having random chest pains that last only a couple of seconds, but for those couple of seconds I can't seem to catch my breath. If I take a deep breath, the pain goes away. I can't really afford a doctor visit, but should I be concerned?
Here is some information about breathing difficulty in general and sharp chest pains that may help answer your question.
Sharp chest pains
Unfortunately, I am going to tell you what you said you can't afford...to see a physician. Only a doctor can tell you for sure whether the pains you experience are related to your heart, your lungs, your muscles, or something else entirely. Any chest pain is something you shouldn't ignore, since it can, in some cases, be a sign of something serious. It's best to have it checked out!
