I Recently Had A Blackout And Fell I Have Ms. Is This Related

I have had ms since 2008, diagnosed 2 yrs ago. My twin has ms, never experienced this. I am scared.

Answer

Hello, mstwin.

Yes, MS can be scary at times, to be sure.

Have you told your MS neurologist about your blackout and subsequent fall? If not I highly recommend you do so. He/she can investigate why you had a blackout and get to the root cause. Sometimes people with MS who have numbness, tingling or weakness in their legs can sometimes fall - this is not unusual. Please see some stories and tips from The National Multiple Sclerosis Society on falling, symptoms of MS, and getting the medical help you need:

Best in health,

Cathy
