Can Rheumatoid Arthritis Be Cured At Early Stages?

Answer

RA is a chronic autoimmune disease, so unfortunately, the answer is no. It is possible for RA to go into remission for months or years, although it usually reappears. Most remissions are drug-induced and maintained by medication, i.e., in order for the RA to continue to be suppressed, you have to continue to take medication. The good news is that these days, there are very effective treatments for RA that may help you lead pretty much a normal life. You may wish to check out our section on The Basics of RA for information about the disease, as well as our section for the newly diagnosed for information and tips on how to manage the disease and live well with it.
