Rib Cage Pain

My rib cage is painful from front to back. I went to the chiropractor two times and I still have the pain. It hurts me when I get up in the morning or if i sit down for a while and get up. What kind of pain is this and what should I do? Should I be worried?

The most common causes of rib cage pain are:

• A bruised, cracked or fractured rib (If the pain gets worse when you bend or twist your body, this is likely.)

• Costochondritis -; inflammation of cartilage near the breastbone

• Osteoporosis -; thinning of bone tissue and loss of bone density

• Pleurisy -; inflammation of the lining of the lungs (causes pain when you take a deep breath or cough)

All of these need to be treated by a doctor, so I'd suggest seeing your doctor soon.
