My right foot keeps cramping up and curling. What could this be?

Answer

In general, cramping can be caused by many factors, including vitamin deficiencies. You may also have a muscle strain. Another reader here suggested it may be a Vitamin E deficiency. It's possible for your doctor to do a blood test that may help you determine if you're low in any particular vitamin or mineral.

In the meantime, try adjusting the things you can - for instance, drink more water and eat more foods high in potassium like dried apricots, bananas, potatoes, broccoli, spinach, and beans. A magnesium supplement may also be in order.
