Is Robaxin A Narcotic

Hi there, can you tell me if robaxin is a narcotic?

Answer

No, its not. Robaxin (or methocarbamol) is a central nervous system depressant (as are narcotic medications) and a muscle relaxant but it does not have addictive properties. It's actually a derivative of guaifenesin, which is found in many cough and cold remedies (like mucines), and which some people believe helps in fibromyalgia. It is derived from the guaiac tree.
