Sharp Pain In The Middle Of Chest And Hurts When I Swallow
I have been suffering from sharp pain in the chest, shortness of breath, and acid reflux for over a year now. I also have difficulty swallowing. An endoscopy was done and the doctor said there was nothing wrong except some "negligible" scarring in my stomach. He prescribed omeprazole but did not give me any dietary restrictions. The symptoms aren't going away. What should I do?
Answer
It sounds like you are not getting the answers you need from your current doctor. I am curious if he considered food allergies/sensitivities? After seeing a GI doctor recently, I learned more about Eosinophilic Esophagitis. This should have shown up on the endoscopy but it seems worth asking about.
If you aren't getting any relief or answers, perhaps it's time for a second opinion!?!?
