Can Stress Cause Muscle Aches Headache Cold Chills Fever?

Is it possible for stress to cause symptoms like a fever, chills, headaches, and muscle pain? I don't think I have the flu but I keep having these symptoms.

Answer

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Central's Anxiety Community.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice.

Stress can cause many physical symptoms, such as muscle aches, headaches, stomach aches. However, if you are experiencing the symptoms you have described, it could also signal the flu. If these symptoms continue, I would suggest speaking with your doctor.

I hope this helps.
