Taking 2 Meds Together

Can you take Celebrex and Prednisone together?

I find that sometimes, when you have a chronic illness like RA, you have to bend the rules. Although the rule is that Celebrex and prednisone together is a sort of double whammy, I have heard of people being prescribed both by their doctors when they need a lot of help. When bending the rules, it's important that you know what you're going into, so you know whether you're willing to accept the risk to get the benefit. I'd recommend that you speak to your doctor about this to get more information and you may also want to discuss the possibility of having some stomach medication like Pantoloc or Nexium prescribed to help protect your stomach and thereby possibly minimizing the risk of a G.I. bleed.
