If You Test Positive For Ischemia What Does It Mean?
My husband is 61 years old, retired. He had a heart attack a few years ago and has 3 stents. He experienced chest pain last week. He had a stress test. The nurse called a few minutes ago and said he tested positive for ischemia. What does that mean?

Ischemia is a term used to describe a lack of oxygen reaching parts of the body. Cardiac ischemia would be caused by narrow arteries surrounding the heart and not allowing the proper amount of oxygen to reach the heart.
