With Migraine disease, there are many possible symptoms, including phosphenes. Phosphenes are a potential symptom of the _ aura phase_ of a Migraine attack.
Phosphenes are brief flashes of light that streak across the visual field. Some people have compared them to “seeing tiny shooting stars.”
Although phosphenes are a fairly common Migraine aura symptom, if you experience it during a Migraine, and you haven’t had it with a Migraine before, it’s advisable to check in with your doctor to be sure it’s part of your Migraine and not something more.
