For About Three Months Now I Have Been Having Tingling On The Left Side Of My Head With Headaches

For the past few months I've been having tingling on the left side of my head along with headaches. What could cause that?

Answer

Hi Diana,

Is this "tingling" new and/or different for other symptoms you've had before? Will you bear with me while I ask a few questions to better understand how to help you?

Have you ever had these symptoms before? Do they only occur when you have a "headache?" Do you have an official diagnosis or anything? Wow, that's a lot of questions - and you thought you were coming here for answers .

At any rate, here's the thing - any time we have new and/or different symptoms we need to discuss them with our doctors right away. You mention "headaches" in your question, but Migraine in the category. Believe it or not, there are many different kinds of Migraines and headache disorders, so having an accurate diagnosis is really important. This helps us make sure we get the proper treatment and management plan for our specific headache and/or Migraine, and will make it easier to get treatment when we are away from home. Take a look at this information when you get a chance; The Type of Migraine Does Matter.

Another informative article I refer to often is Anatomy of a Migraine. This talks about the four phases of a Migraine attack and the symptoms that go along with them.

Please call the doctor and then let me know how you make out, ok?

Good luck

Nancy
