Question: My left hand tingles and it feels like my hand is falling asleep. Does anyone know what this could be?

Originally asked by Community Member John P Coyne

Answer: Hi John,

Tingling and a feeling of numbness could be a sign of carpal tunnel syndrome, if you’re a person who does a lot of repetitive motions with that hand. It also could be a pinched nerve in your arm or shoulder, or any of a number of conditions. As always we recommend that you see a doctor if it continues, but in the meantime here is some information that may be useful.
