Today Is National Coffee Day
If you love coffee, and can’t get through your day without a cup or two (or three or more), it's your day! Many companies—from Krispy Kreme to Dunkin’ Donuts and Cumberland Farms—are celebrating coffee with promotions and giveaways.
Grab a free 12 oz. cup of coffee and glazed doughnut at participating Krispy Kreme stores in the U.S. and Canada. Dunkin’ Donuts is also marking 66 years of selling coffee and is offering customers a medium hot coffee for just $.66 today. Cumberland Farms is offering customers any sized hot or iced coffee with a mobile text coupon (text the word FREECOFFEE to 64827).
Today is the one-year anniversary of Starbucks’ fight a fungus called coffee rust that attacks trees and is devastating coffee farms in Latin America. For every cup of Mexico Chiapas coffee sold at Starbucks today, the company will donate one free coffee tree. Their goal is to donate 20 million trees by the end of the year. Other national and regional chains are also celebrating coffee today—but if you plan to enjoy your cup of joe at home or in the office instead of grabbing it on the go, be sure you raise it up—to National Coffee Day.
