My Total Cholesterol Is 212, Hdl Is 90. Ldl Is 105 And Triglicerides Are 85. I Excersise 5 Times A Eek, Rarely Eat Junk Food, Don't Smoke And Weigh 98lb. Are My Numbers Ok?

Hi Maria,

Here are the recommendations of the American Heart Association:

Total cholesterol less than 200
HDL cholesterol at least > 40, ideally > 60
LDL cholesterol at least less than 130, ideally less than 100
Triglycerides less than 150

Based on the above recommendations your numbers are almost all within the ideal range. However, the only way to know if your numbers are 'healthy' or not is with a comprehensive lipid panel to evaluate your particle sizes. For example, a high HDL level is not necessarily a good thing if the HDL particle sizes are the 'unhealthy' version. The only way to know is with a more thorough test.
