My Total Cholesterol Is 210, Hdl=108,ldl=89, Triglycerides=64, Ratio=1.9. Should I Reduce Ldl?

Hi Anne,

Here are the recommendations of the American Heart Association:

Total cholesterol less than 200
HDL cholesterol at least > 40, ideally > 60
LDL cholesterol at least less than 130, ideally less than 100
Triglycerides less than 150

Your levels look great! However, that doesn't mean you don't have other health issues that warrant a lower LDL. It's always best to consult your physician who fully knows your medical history to determine the levels that are best for you.
