Is Tramadol Or Vicodin Better

Hi, could you tell me which is more effective for managing pain - tramadol or Vicodin?

I am not a doctor or health care professional, but I can share my experience with both pain relievers.

I take Tramadol for pain caused by inflammatory osteoarthritis. It doesn't take all the pain away, but it takes enough of it away that I can relax and just generally feel better. I was prescribed Vicodin after a surgery one time. I hated it. It make me so sick to my stomach and I just felt generally awful. I threw it away!

Please remember that everyone responds differently to medication. I believe that Vicodin is generally considered "stronger" than Tramadol, and I know many people who take it and are very happy w/the pain relief it affords them.

One of my friends has bad discs in her neck that are going to require surgery. Vicodin is the only thing that works for her. Hope this helps!
