Can I Use Advil With Lipitor

Nancy Turner,

Thanks for your question.

Lipitor is a statin class of medication used in the treatment of elevated cholesterol. Advil, or ibuprofen, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication available over the counter, as well as prescription doses, that is used for minor pain, headache, inflammation, and fever. There is no drug-drug interaction between these two medications and should pose no added risk if taken together.

I hope this has been helpful.
