If Vldl Level Is Lower Than Normal Range?

Is it good or bad if VLDL level is lower than the normal range?

Answer

Hi Mkmparvez,

VLDL cholesterol is typically calculated from triglyceride levels. A few of the potential causes of low triglyceride levels (less than 10 mg/dl) include hyperthyroidism, malnutrition, and certain medication. I recommend discussing with your physician to determine the cause and if a treatment plan is needed.

All the best,
