Can Wearing Glasses Be A Migraine Trigger?

Trying to figure out if this is coincodental or not, but I feel that my migraines may be triggered by wearing reading glasses/sunglasses. If anyone has experienced glasses as a trigger, is it from the weight of the glasses on the bridge of the nose, or is it related to vision disturbances?

Hi Ginger,

If your reading glasses are the wrong prescription that could possibly trigger a Migraine attack. Wearing heavy glasses on the bridge of the nose may trigger an attack for some. It just depends how sensitive the person is. We have information on triggers you may find helpful on this page: Migraine Triggers.

Stackable triggers are Migraine triggers that are just that, stacked or cumlative. Not enough sleep for a few nights, weather changes and then wearing sunglasses that are too heavy. These things could trigger a Migraine. Fay + Stackable Triggers = Migraines for Me!

I hope this helps.
