Can Wellbutrin Cause Memory Loss?

I took Wellbutrin XL 300/mg/day for almost 5 years. I notice that I sometimes have difficulty finding the correct words. Is this a side-effect? If so, do the side-effects reverse with discontinued use? thx.

Answer

Anti-depressants affect everyone differently, so it's best to check with your physician. You've been on this particular drug for a number of years. If it works for your depression, you may want to stay on it, but it's possible that it's time to change drugs. Only your physician can figure this out, based on your unique needs. Please bring this up. Likely, if the memory issues are from the drug, it would be reversible at this time. Good luck,
