Talk show host and television personality Wendy Williams revealed this week that she has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and Graves’ disease and will be taking some time off to focus on her health.

Her doctors have advised Williams to take three weeks off from her daytime talk show. Last fall, she passed out on the air after becoming overheated in her Halloween costume.

According to HealthCentral, Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder that leads to the overproduction of thyroid hormones. Symptoms include weight loss, anxiety, irritability, hand tremors, fatigue, sensitivity to heat, and bulging eyes.
