What is better for arthritis pain, advil or aleve? Which one lasts longer?
Both ibuprofen (Advil) and naproxen sodium (aleve) are non-steroidal antiinflammatory medications (NSAID). All NSAIDs work about the same and are equally effective. Some people might notice some differences; thus, in order to find out which one works best for you, try one for a week and then try the other one. Taking any anti-inflammatory medication for two weeks consistantly usually helps relieve the pain and put the fire out.
