I JUST HAD AN (EMG) DONE AND THE RUDE-INCONCIDERATE PR— OF A DR. ( NOT MINE) TOLD ME EVERY THINGS NORMAL. I DON’T KNOW WHAT UR PROBLEM IS AND HE WALKED OUT!!! MY LEG HAS SEVERE PAIN ALL AROUND THE NUMB PART. I’M STARTING TO GET SCARED!! NO, I DON’T HAVE DIABETES, BUT I DO HAVE SEVERE CHRONIC LOW BACK PAIN GOING ON SINCE 1985 AND GETTING WORSE. I DO HAVE CAUDAL BLOCKS EVERY OTHER MONTH TO KEEP ME WALKING. WITHOUT THE INJECTIONS I’M SCREAMING IN PAIN AND IN A WHEEL CHAIR. I KNOW MY BACK PAIN IS NERVE ENDINGS DAMAGE AND THERE’S NOTHING TO HELP IT, BUT THIS LEG THING HAS ME VERY CONCERNED. ANY IDEALS???
There are a number of things that could cause leg numbness and pain. Two common causes are neuropathy and sciatica. It could also be related to your lower back problem. Try our symptom checker to see if you can narrow down the possibilities:
Regardless what information you may find as to possible causes, you need a doctor who will take your symptoms seriously. You said the doctor you saw wasn’t yours. If possible, see your own doctor, who will be more familiar with your medical history. If there’s some reason you’re not able to see him, keep looking until you find someone who will pay attention and try to get to the root of the problem.
