What is the cause of too low blood pressure in congestive heart failure and passing out from this condition?
Answer
Hi Janice,
Congestive heart failure is characterized by the heart pumping blood ineffectively. Since it’s your blood that carries the oxygen to your body – including your brain – the condition can mean that your brain isn’t getting enough oxygen. This can cause the passing out you’re describing, and the weak heart muscle can cause poor blood flow, which can cause the low blood pressure.
