What Causes Cramps After Orgasm?

Every time I have an orgasm, I experience menstrual-like cramping. What causes this?

Many women experience cramping after having an orgasm, particularly if they are pregnant. Orgasm causes small contractions of the vagina and pelvic region, and the cramping may be due to these contractions. However, you should definitely have this evaluated by a doctor, particularly if it is interfering with your desire to reach orgasm. It could be a sign of a problem with your uterus, your bladder, or another part of your pelvic region. There's no way to diagnose the issue without the proper examination and diagnostic testing.
