Had surgery at 49. Stopped hormones in eary 50’s because of breast cancer. I am 73 and for the last year or so I have been having hot flushes. I seem to be having them more each day.
There is a percentage of women who never get over hot flashes. However, since you have just started having them again, I would want to explore whether there is some medical disorder causing these. The first thing that comes to mind is your thyroid gland. Please see an internist or endocrinologist to fully evaluate your health and pinpoint the cause.
Good luck to you,
