What does it mean to be exposed to herpes? The doctor said I don't have it, but I have been exposed to it and that I am not a carrier of it.
Most people have been exposed to and carry a latent form of a herpes virus in their bodies. The tests your doctor took indicated, that you, like most people, have antibodies to one of the herpes viruses in your blood, but that the virus has been subdued, and is not a problem for you.
