What Does A High Cpk Level Mean?

I have a high CPK level. What does this mean? I also have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.

CPK or creatine phosphokinase is an enzyme released when a muscles are damaged. It can be high in several disorders including hypothyroidism, heart problems, a muscle disease called rhabdomyolysis, stroke, kidney disease, inflammation, etc. - there's quite a few. Given that, it's hard to tell just what your high level means. You'll have to check with your doctor to find out exactly what its telling you.
