What Is Expected For The Recovery Time For A Pvp Green Light Surgery?

What is expected for the recovery time for a PVP Green light surgery. I had my surgery about 10 weeks ago. The first two weeks after the surgery were great, but then it went down hill fast! I do seem to be getting better, but still have some sense of burning in the prostate that radiates out towards the tip of the penis. No infection, have had several tests. Just have been told slow recovery? Was just wondering if any one else had experience similar recovery and their final outcome? I kinda feel all alone on this without much support. Feel like I am now just bothering the doctor each time I complain of pain. Usual answer is could be, should be, might be and will be? Just looking for someone else that might have ideas, answers, suggestions or final result stories after long recoveries? Thanks!!

Answer

Some patients do experience a delayed healing and persistent symptoms after laser prostatectomy. I have had a lot of success with anti-inflammatories such as Motrin, Advil for the burning sensation. Be patient as in all likelihood, this will resolve spontaneously.
