What Is Happening If Your Are Slurring Your Speech

Answer

If it is a problem that happened recently or occurs intermittently I would advise you to see a neurologist. If it is accompanied by weakness on one side of the body definately get it checked by a neurologist!

However, if you've had the problem steadily for a significant period of time with no other symptoms I suggest that you see a speech therapist.

Although "slurring of speech" can be a warning sign of stroke, it can also be other attributed to other things as well.

A physician would have to know more about your overall health like, do you have high blood pressure? Do you have diabetes? What is your cholesterol numbers? Have you ever had seizures?

It would be the best policy to get this checked out by a physician to rule out stroke or other neurological problems.
