What Is The Normal Dosage Of Metadate Cd In Adults

I'm a woman, 50 years old. As a child I was on Ritalin for ADHD, stopped taking it at 11. As an adult I have always had symptoms of something weird. My symptoms are I am extremely hyperactive, nervous, anxious all the time, I procrastinate everything. I have insomnia, barely sleep 2 or 3 hours a day and I would wake up with terrible headaches, I also have bruxism (which has cost me all of my teeth), the headaches would last all day and so on, so I lived with headaches. I also have a terrible case of IBS-C. My doctorput me on Metadate CD 30 mg per day, and in less than a week, the bruxism almost stopped, my head doesn't hurt as much, I'm better. But the problem is my stomach is much worse. Is the medication or the dosage right?

Thank you for your question and welcome to ADHDCentral.com.

I am not a medical professional and would not be able to give you medical advice.

However, the dosage for metadate is based upon individual needs. It is recommended that dosage start at 20 mg pr day and then be increased by 10-20 mg as needed. (dosing approved for children).

If you have concerns or are experiencing side effects that are interfering with your daily activities, you should speak with your physician or with your pharmacist.
