What Is The Recommended Dose Of Dim?

My doctor has recommend DIM (diindolylmethane). What is the recommended dose? My local pharmacies don't carry it and I have searched online. Prices vary greatly. Any suggestions?

I had never heard of this until you mentioned it, but I did some research and it sounds interesting. It is a found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower and kale. It promotes estrogen metabolism. Do you have breast cancer or breast health issues? I think your money would be better spent eating lots of these vegetables (which are known to be cancer-fighting) and with the actual vegetable, you get the fiber and other vitamins they provide. But if your doctor says to take the supplement,   then you should, but you should get a recommended dosage from him or her. Also, your insurance might cover it if he/she prescribes it, even if it is an over-the-counter supplement.
