My doctor diagnosed me with with ‘classic migraines.’ How is this different from regular / common migraines? I can’t find anything about classic vs. common migraines. Thanks.
You won’t find much information these days about “classic” or “common” Migraine because those are the “older” terms. Classic Migraine is now referred to as Migraine with aura (MWA); “common” Migraine as Migraine without aura (MWOA). If your doctor is still using the older terms, you may want to give some thought to whether he is really up-to-date on Migraine and Migraine treatments.
You can find information to explain the difference between MWA and MWOA in these two articles…
Hope this helps!
