Which Pain Releiver Is Better For Severe Chronic Pain, Lortab Or Percocet

i HAVE HAD SEVERE CHRONIC SPINAL HIP AND LEG PAIN, NOT SCIATICA, I MEAN SHARP EXCRUCIATING PAIN NOW FOR BETTER THAN 5 YEARS NOTHING HAS HELPED NOT EVEN EPIDURALS THAT I HAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS, CUZ, THE PAIN COMES BACK 10 TIMES WORSE THAN IT ORIGINALLY WAS. SINCE THEN, I HAVE BEEN PUT ON LORTAB, METHADONE, AND MORPHINE, I'M BACK ON LORTAB, MY QUESTION IS, IS PERCOCET A STRONGER OR MORE POTENT PAIN RELIEVER THAN LORTAB, I REFUSE TO GO BACK TO THE MORPHINE OR METHADONE AND I SIMPLY REFUSE TO TRY OXYCONTIN OR THOSE FENTYAL PATCHES! THANK YOU p.s I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EPIDURALS, SPINAL TAPS AND OR SADDLE BLOCKS, ALL FROM HAVEING C-SECTIONS WITH MY 4 CHILDREN I AM 46 YEARS OLD , CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE AND YES I'M IN A PAIN CLINIC!!!!

Answer

Yes, Percocet is a little stronger than Lortab. However, if you don't want to take OxyContin, you're probably not going to want to take Percocet either, because they're both oxycodone. The only difference is OxyContin is the extended-release version of oxycodone and Percocet has some acetaminophen added to the oxycodone.

I don't know whether it would be appropriate for your particular problem, but you might consider talking with your pain management doctor about a neurostiumlator, which doesn't involve any drugs.
