Why Do I Have A Sinus Headache After Orgasm
I am a 40 year old man. I have dull pain on the right side of my head above my ear towards my right eye and on right top of head. This usually occurs some hours after I have sex, and can last several days. I also notice a swelling of the forehead during this time, specifically on the right side.
It's unlikely that it's a sinus headache, even though the location makes it seem like one. Sinus headache is rare unless you have a sinus infection. Do you have a history of Migraine. Orgasm can trigger a Migraine for some, and 90% of what people think are sinus headaches are actually Migraines. For more information on this, see Sinuses Giving You a Headache? It's Probably a Migraine and Orgasm, Headache and Migraine: Does the "Big O" affect headaches and Migraine?
This could also be orgasmic headache. For information on this, see Orgasmic and Preorgasmic Headache - The Basics.
As noted in the last article I referred you to, it's important that you see a doctor about these headaches to rule out any serious causes of them.
