Yogurt eaters have better diets
A daily dose of yogurt might have a positive influence on the rest of your diet. A study published in the journal Nutrition Research found that people who regularly eat yogurt have a more balanced and healthy overall diet than people who do not eat yogurt.
Yogurt itself can be a good source of nutrients, such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, all of which are generally lacking in the average American’s diet. The observational study found that people who already had yogurt as a staple in their diet also consumed more whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts and fish.
People who ate yogurt regularly also reported a better overall quality of life than people who did not. No word yet if frozen yogurt provides the same benefits.
