I am a 41-year-old woman who was just diagnosed with a weak heart but who doesn’t have cardiomyopathy. What else could cause a weak heart? Could it be caused emotionally?
First, having a “weak heart” doesn’t mean you’re a weak person or are emotionally fragile. This is a physical condition and not an issue with your metaphorical “heart.” You can be a very emotionally tough person and still have a weak heart! :-)

I recommend discussing possible causes with your physician to get a clearer idea of what your condition means and how you can best manage it. Good luck!
