Greg O’Brien was 59 years old when diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, unmasked by doctors after he fell from his bike and suffered a serious head injury. Since his diagnosis several years ago, the award-winning Cape Cod journalist, husband, and father of three, who lost his mother, father, paternal grandfather, and paternal uncle to Alzheimer’s, has been chronicling his thoughts, crisscrossing America to address medical conferences and Alzheimer’s support groups. His latest book, On Pluto: Inside the Mind of Alzheimer’s, won the 2015 International Book Award for Health.
