Simon Cavendish Mears, M.D., Ph.D.
Simon Cavendish Mears, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor in the department of orthopaedics in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with special interests in total hip and knee replacement, hip fracture care, and geriatric orthopaedics. He earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in neurobiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and a fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the Mayo Clinic.
