Uma Chandavarkar, M.D., is a physician leader and gynecologic cancer surgeon in Cupertino, CA, with 16 years of frontline commitment to patient care, clinical operations, patient safety and quality, and promoting initiatives in prevention and value-based care. She was recruited four times over seven years to build gynecologic oncology programs from the ground up, with each new position providing an opportunity to add value to the subsequent organization. Having achieved her career goals as a high-volume surgeon and steward of patient access, and through her work at UCLA’s Department of Health Policy and Management in the John and Karin Fielding School of Public Health, she is leveraging data analytics, health policy, and regulatory insights, aiming to significantly enhance patient outcomes.
