Superfoods for Chronic Hives Relief

Eating is a huge part of daily life, and so when you’re living with a chronic hive condition, you want to make sure all those foods you’re eating are helping your body in the best way possible. Here are some foods that may help provide some relief from inflammatory symptoms.
Anchovies, high in omega-3 fatty acids, have been proven to lessen the intensity of hives in some people. They’re also low in mercury compared to other fish, as well as high in the antioxidant selenium.
Mustard greens are one of the best foods to eat if you have hives. With their high beta-carotene content, these potent greens can aid in fighting inflammation and help to break down histamine.
For some, an apple a day just may keep the doctor away. Apples contain high amounts of the bioflavonoid, quercetin, which in some cases may decrease symptoms related to hives. How? Quercetin works by stabilizing histamine-containing mast cells.
Turmeric has been shown to possess strong anti-inflammatory properties that may help protect against hives. This particular spice has been used in Ayurvedic healing as well as Chinese medicine for centuries.
Sweet potatoes are a root vegetable, and happen to be among the foods that are least likely to cause allergic symptoms. They contain a decent amount of vitamin C and antioxidants, not to mention delicious and versatile in the way they can be prepared.
Garlic, another ancient remedy, may help bring relief from hives symptoms due to the way it inhibits the activity of particular inflammation-causing enzymes.
The flaxseed is a powerhouse of nutrients, with fiber, protein, B vitamins, magnesium, selenium, and others. Ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil are also among the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which makes them one of the best foods to eat if you suffer from chronic hives.
Parsley may help reduce the frequency of hives flares, as it inhibits the creation of histamines in the body. It’s an easy garnish to add to many dishes, but don’t overdo it, because it may upset your stomach.
