People who suffer from hives also may experience angioedema. Angioedema is when there is underlying swelling in the skin. When angioedema occurs independently of hives it might be a rare condition called Hereditary Angioedema (HAE). The US HAEA offers a network of support and services to patients living with angiodema and their families. It offers HAE explainers, patient webinars, school resources, patient conferences, and social media links. If you want even more involvement, you can become an HEA ambassador to others, or submit your story and photos for research.
